Gasparilla Island
and the town of Boca Grande hold special events all year long. From fishing tournaments to Shakespeare, there is something for everyone. The following list is an example of the types of special events you can expect to find on Gasparilla Island.
JANUARY:
RPPs Annual Shakespeare Workshop – Join others in exploring and analyzing the works of Shakespeare at this much loved annual event. Tuition is $60.00
FEBRUARY:
A Grand Night in Grande Bay – The annual Royal Palm Players gala. Two of Boca Grande's “grandest homes” are open for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and entertainment.
Taste of Boca – Sample the delicious cuisine of island and Boca Grande restaurants at the Boca Bay Pass Club.

APRIL:
Boca in Bloom – Boca Grande is decorated in its finest floral wear.

Boca Grande Easter Egg Hunt
MAY:
Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament – Annual ladies only tournament offers exciting fishing, fun, dinner and dancing awards party.
Boca Grande Fishing Guides Invitational Tarpon Tournament – This is an annual event sponsored by the Boca Grande Fishing Guides Assocation.
Howl at the Moon Tarpon Tournament – This annual tournament is to promote the traditional live bait methods of tarpon fishing in the Boca Grande Pass.
OCTOBER:
Gasparilla Island 5K and 10K Run
Halloween Carnival
NOVEMBER:
Boca Grande Christmas Walk – Luminary lit streets, music, shopping and a visit from Santa Claus.
DECEMBER:
Holiday Boat Parade – Boats travel down the bayou past the Innlet Motel and Guide Docks to Boca Grande and Whidden's Marina and return.

GASPARILLA ISLAND STATE PARK EVENTS:
Turtle Walk – Join a park ranger at the Boca Grande Lighthouse for an educational program on sea turtles and their nesting habits. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Held various dates throughout the summer months. Call 941-964-0375 for more information.
Beach Nature Walk – Join a park ranger at the Boca Grande Lighthouse for a guided walk through the park's beach and mangrove communities. Comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, drinking water and sunscreen is recommended. Call 941-964-0375 for more information.
